SEVEREN POL (NORTH POLE)

After being pressured by her ‘cool’ friends, teenager Margo, who has never had sex, tries to rush her boyfriend into sleeping with her. But things do not go according to plan. A moment of comfort unexpectedly beckons from a rooftop. What is captured here on 16mm film is an imaginative drama immersed in mist and fog, yet still sharp and animated: on the one hand, conveying how tragic these adolescent years can feel and, on the other, with a refreshing twist revealing that it's okay to still be a child.
