Four movies have been programmed in response to the war in Ukraine. STOP-ZEMLIA is the debut film of Kateryna Gornostai, who is part of this year's feature film jury. She is currently still in Kiyw. STOP-ZEMLIA (2021) is a sensitive film about growing up, including amateur actors. POHANI DOROGY (BAD ROADS) (2020) by Natalya Vorozhbyt examines different facets of the Donbass war in four episodes, from tragicomic to brutal. ATLANTIDA (ATLANTIS) (2019) by Valentyn Vasyanovych looks into the Donbass in 2025, a landscape of ruins with a small glimmer of hope. The ENTUZIAZM quoted in ATLANTIDA (ATLANTIS). SIMFONIJA DONBASSA (1930) by Dziga Vertov shows us a different Donbass. It shows a Donbass that is dynamic and modern; a Donbass that implies progress and economic power.
