Worldwide Visions 2024

News18.05.2024

The Worldwide Visions show selected films on selected topics. Alongside the competitions and the Retrospective, they form the third and freest section in the structure of the IFFI. While the Retrospective has a fixed thematic and film-historical focus and the films for the competitions must fulfil several criteria, the Worldwide Visions show films that are related to current events, as well as programme items that are developed in cooperation with other festivals or cultural institutions. Classics, experimental and short films, retrospectives and small themed programmes all find their place here. This year, the first part of the worldwide vis

ions is dedicated to the REMEMBRANCE OF HELMUT GROSCHUP. In the second part, the IFFI SELECTION, further multi-faceted films with diverse perspectives and different genres can be found. This year, eight feature-length films will be shown that are well worth seeing. In addition, we are presenting nine short films by Cuban director Nicolás Guillén Landrián.
