CHILDREN'S FILM - JUUNT PASTAZA ENTSARI (THE WATERS OF PASTAZA)

Alves didn't actually want to make a film. After her studies in London, she went to an Achua village of 80 people in the Ecuadorian Amazon for two months to work in the school there. In the mornings she taught the children, in the afternoons she learned from them, did film workshops with them and finally started filming: the children fishing, boating, playing ball, cooking, playing mobile phones, ... The film manages without dialogue, observes benevolently, looks only at the children without negating the world of the adults, without romanticising it.
