A family sets off on a road trip with an unknown mission. A lively six-year-old, his loving parents with their sarcastic humour, and their adult son—whose calm demeanour is shrouded in mystery—drive through the ever-changing landscapes of Iran, heading for the border. A strict ban on mobile phones and secret phone calls promise a delicate situation. In his feature film debut, Panah Panahi (son of the banned Jafar Panahi) tells the story of the difficult fate of many of his compatriots in a visually striking way. Alongside a compelling narrative style, the film captivates with its humour. We look forward to a film evening together in Wattens.
