UNA ESCUELA EN CERRO HUESO
2021, Argentina
Betania Cappato
Julia and Antonio live in Santa Fe, Argentina. When their young daughter is diagnosed with autism, it becomes difficult for them to find a school for her. The only school that accepts her is in the small village of Cerro Hueso, so the family decides to move there. Cappato created this film based on her brother's story. Thanks to its careful, sensitive approach, you hardly notice it’s a feature film. The film is a chronicle and a fragment; it allows us to experience the parents' insecurities and the warmth of the community, and it creates a close connection to and understanding of the characters.
