L’ESCALE (THE STOPOVER)

When filmmakers Paul Shemisi and Nizar Saleh are travelling from Kinshasa to Frankfurt for the screening of their new film, they are stopped at an airport in Angola while changing planes. The airline thinks their papers are forged; not only are they prevented from boarding, they are even detained. The view out of the plane window is supported by the filmmakers' narration and illustrates the obstacles Congolese artists face when travelling.
