SILENCE & RESILIENCE

2021, Georgia

Naja Orashvili

The crisis forced us into solitude, but the melancholy united us even more. Dancefloors are the place to create a culture based on unity, equality and solidarity. But what happens when the dancing stops? What happens to the energy that moves the bodies and reflects both individual and collective consciousness? How does the dynamics of a breathing, living social structure change when there is no dancefloor anymore? Those are the questions to be answered in order to investigate the past, present and future role of dancefloors in creating and re-creating social life and culture in the post-pandemic world.
