SAYYAREYE DOZDIDE SHODEYE MAN (MY STOLEN PLANET)

This biography of an Iranian woman travels from childhood photos taken in the first weeks after the proclamation of the Islamic Republic to today's Jin Jiyan Azadî protests. For decades, filmmaker Farahnaz Sharifi has captured everyday resistance and dramatic events. Furthermore, she has built up a sizable archive of film and video material from others. Her ‘world‘, consisting of footage in different formats, is increasingly under threat from the regime. Nevertheless, there is a glimmer of hope at the end of this sometimes intense stream of images.
