When the Mexican Revolution is at its height in 1913, U.S. journalist John Reed crosses the border to join General Urbina, a comrade of Pancho Villa. Because he is a foreigner and also an intellectual, his new comrades are initially suspicious. But he manages to win their trust, get closer to Pancho Villa and find a place alongside the revolutionaries. In 1913 at the height of the Mexican revolution US-American journalist John Reed crosses the border in order to join general Urbina, who is a comrade of Pancho Villa. As a stranger and intellectual he is first guarded with distrust, but manages to win the revolutionaries' confidence and find his place by Pancho Villa's side.
