35 years after World War III, the so-called water war, nature is extinct, the earth is contaminated: Asha, a museum curator, lives in a ultra-modern indoor community controlled by the Maitu Council. When she receives a sample of fresh soil, Asha discovers that the world she knows is maybe not the only one and wants to find out more against the will of the Council. Wanuri Kahiu’s RAFIKI was screened at IFFI #28.
