PEJZAŽI OTPORA (LANDSCAPES OF RESISTANCE)

Sonja used to be a partisan. She survived several concentration camps and was one of the leaders of the Auschwitz uprising. Now an old lady, she passes her memories on to her grandniece (the screenwriter). Alongside the interviews, we see the places – now peaceful landscapes – that were the scenes of fighting and atrocities just decades before. Enhanced by drawings and diary- like entries, they establish a connection to the grandniece’s life. By bringing together Sonja’s accounts and the places they took place with present-day times, this film makes a true political statement.
