MEIN ZWEITES HAUS
2023, Austria

Poverty migrants from Slovakia and Romania commute to Innsbruck for three weeks every month to earn money for their families. Being Roma, they are often confronted with discrimination and racism in their countries of origin. Waldhüttl, a shelter on the outskirts of Innsbruck, is their second home. What was an almost dilapidated farm building just ten years ago is now a flourishing centre for social cohesion, ecology, spirituality and cultural exchange, thanks to the commitment of the local Society of St. Vincent de Paul and the local community.
