MANTAGHEYE BOHRANI (CRITICAL ZONE)

This film is uncomfortable in many ways. A drug courier drives through Tehran in a Peugeot 206 to deliver drugs and secure supplies. Ali Ahmadzadeh turns this narrative into an urban thriller-drama that makes the increasing tension – prevalent within Iranian society and suppressed by many – truly palpable, underlined by an experimental use of sound.
