LAS HIJAS (SISTER & SISTER)

Two sisters, Marina (17) and Luna (14), travel from Costa Rica to Panama during the summer holidays to meet their absent father. But he is absent yet again, and so the two sisters spend exciting days of adolescent life with their similarly-aged hosts. They make new friends, discover previously unknown feelings, learn to skate and enjoy the summer to the full. Drawing on her own experience, Zúñiga shows the growing bond between the two sisters in a gentle and intimate way in her directorial debut.
