LA BESTIA (THE BEAST)

2015, Bolivia/Argentina

Kiro Russo

In 1538, a human wrapped in furs braves a snow-covered mountain environment. It is Inca messenger Sisco. It seems to be a specific mission that leads him through the wide steppe and mountain landscape. The only living creature visible for miles around, he crosses impressive vistas in clear, digital black-and-white style. Kiro Russo embraces the theme of the seeker in nature as well as Bolivia’s historic heritage – a subject that he seamlessly continues in his subsequent feature film debut VIEJO CALAVERA.
