EL JOCKEY (KILL THE JOCKEY)

Remo Manfredini is considered a genius in his field, but the taciturn jockey is in the throes of a crisis. Numbed by alcohol and other substances, he wants to withdraw from the horse-racing business and turn his back on the shady, rich clan whose noble steeds he rides. On top of that, Abril, also a jockey, is pregnant with his child and is forced to choose between keeping it or continuing her career. To say that the plot soon takes unexpected turns would be an understatement. From start to finish, director Luis Ortega explores the options of visual storytelling in a stunning and quite peculiar way.
