KEBAB UND ROSOLI

The idea for this film we came up with after a series of violent attacks on asylum seekers were carried out in Central Switzerland in the nineties. With our collage of documentary miniatures we wanted to offer something in reply to this hostility, namely to show the asylum seekers as individuals, whom to meet can be a rewarding experience. We deliberately avoided showing direct xenophobic expressions and acts, which it is easy to distance oneself from. Everyday and inconspicuous encounters form the backbone of the film. (Karl Saurer)
