INTERCEPTED

In 2022, the Ukrainian intelligence service recorded a number of telephone conversations between Russian soldiers and their relatives. Oksana Karpovych overlays scenes of everyday life in a country scarred by the war of aggression with some of these conversations. We see destruction and devastation; and amidst all that, people who want to continue living. We hear confessions of war crimes, descriptions of psychological demise and clarification of lies propagated by state media. INTERCEPTED is a vital political work of art and, not to forget, one with disturbing content.
