EL MENSAJE (THE MESSAGE)

A road movie set in rural Argentina, told through atmospheric black-and-white images. Anika has a special gift: she can communicate with animals. Together with her foster parents, Myriam and Roger, she travels the country as a medium. Her days follow a recurring pattern: they promote Anika’s abilities, arrange appointments with pet owners, conduct the sessions with the animals – and then collect their fee. In between, however, quiet spaces open up time and again for gentle moments of family togetherness.
