An Uruguayan railroad preservation club, made up of small group of retired workers, kidnaps the last operating steam locomotive in Uruguay when a foreign businessman threatens to purchase the artifact and relocate it to an amusement park in the United States. Government authorities along with the local representative of the U.S. business set out immediately to recover the hostage train from the „criminal“ band of senior patriots.
