DANZÓN
María Novaro
Julia is a telephone operator in Mexico City. Her whole love belongs to the danzón, the Mexican version of the tango. Once a week, she indulges her passion in an old-fashioned dance hall. But when her long-time dance partner Carmelo suddenly disappears, Julia is abruptly torn from her routine. In search of him, the thirty-year-old finds herself in the red-light district of the metropolis. Instead of Carmelo, however, she meets someone else there - herself. (from: kino.de)
