CHRONIQUES D’UN FILM COLONIAL is composed from several Belgian colonial films that span from 1926 to 1958, just two years prior to the Congolese independence. Repurposing images from the explorations of Belgian filmmakers in Congo, Columbian director Hernán Barón Camacho critically reflects on how the colonial gaze has shaped the representation of the ‘other’.
