BOG NEĆE POMOĆI (GOD WILL NOT HELP)

A woman arrives in a barren mountainous region of Croatia at the beginning of the 20th century. Travelling from Chile, Teresa carries her husband Marko’s remains to bury him in his home village. Her arrival disrupts the established order: in Marko’s strictly patriarchal family of shepherds, the mere presence of this stranger calls existing power structures into question. When Teresa sees her late husband in a visitation, this is the first sign of a mystical power that soon comes to dominate this strikingly different period film.
