BANEL & ADAMA

Banel and Adama live in northern Senegal. The young couple want to build a home together outside their village. After all, the situation within the community is already complicated: Adama does not want to take on the role of village chief, which is expected of him due to his family background, and Banel does not want to become a mother. And then rain fails to fall. Social obligations, against the backdrop of the climate crisis, threaten to destroy the happy relationship.
