AURORA

The architect Luisa holds art workshops at schools. There she meets 17-year-old Yuliana, who is trying to keep her pregnancy a secret. Luisa wants to help. Although they hardly know each other, Yuliana moves in with her. Luisa seems to enjoy her role as mentor, friend, and substitute mother. However, it soon becomes clear that she must let the young woman go her own way. Paz Fábrega depicts this relationship and the growing trust with amateur actresses and with great sensitivity and respect. She stays away from clichéd plots and characters.
