AMIGOMÍO

Jeanine Meerapfel / Alcides Chiesa

Argentina at the end of the 1980s: Carlos has to flee with his eight-year-old son Amigomío because of his wife's political involvement. An adventurous journey through Latin American countries begins. "In the film, on the one hand, there is a nostalgia to be more committed to changing society. On the other hand, there is also criticism of a generation that has often been wrong. I am interested in the question of what we are leaving to our children's generation? We wanted to leave them a fairer world and we are leaving them a disaster. Even the illusion of change we have shattered..." (Jeanine Meerapfel)
