Since the death of her father, Maribel Felpeto and her mother have been running the family business, which controls illegal betting in a district of Buenos Aires. Their daily routine consists of counting money, managing illicit funds and dealing with territorial disputes. In addition to the constant fear of a police raid, Maribel also ponders questions regarding her father’s past. Hernán Rosselli portrays the Felpeto family, who in real life have nothing to do with illegal betting, as a mafia-like clan and uses real home videos for flashbacks in his successful foray into fiction.
