Patricia and Heidi, friends since childhood, left their homeland of Cuba after graduating from EICTV. One moved to Switzerland, the other settled in Spain. Both have documented their lives on film, independently of one another. At the age of 40, they get back in touch using video letters. A MEDIA VOZ (IN A WHISPER) shows their correspondence, skilfully edited into a chronological yet free-flowing whole. A sensitive depiction of motherhood, uprooting, a love of film, friendship and freedom – and nostalgia for a country that no longer exists as it was.
