1 GIRL INFINITE

Impressive on all levels, Lilly Hu’s debut feature film centres on the relationship between Tong Tong and Yin Jia, both in their early 20s. They share a small apartment in the southern Chinese city of Changsha and barely make ends meet. As long as it’s just the two of them, their life works out. But when Tong Tong gets involved with Chen Wen, a part-time gangster from a well-off family, she endangers their fragile life together. Soon, this portrait of society intensifies to become a stylistically intoxicating love drama based on sexual awakening, attraction and dependency.
