TALK: The dissolution of a landmark

Are we still in need of documentary film as a standalone category? Documentary film is one of the most multifaceted film genres of our time. Its artistic versatility makes it increasingly difficult to distinguish from feature films, which is why more and more film festivals are abandoning the distinction between these two categories. In a conversation with filmmakers, film scholars and film enthusiasts, we will discuss to what extent such a distinction is topical, functional and useful.
