One essential quality of analogue film is its mass and haptics. 35mm film consists of hundreds of metres of heavy tracks of polyester and triacetate which are connected and strained for the projection in order to create the illusion of the moving picture. ZODIAC, SCRAP UND SCRATCHES is such a film roll, consisting of abrasive and waste wear products of the daily practice of agitation. The audience sees and hears decades of fragmentary cinema history.
