VULCANO

Because her lover Roberto Rossellini fell for Ingrid Bergman and made her the star of his new film STROMBOLI, Anna Magnani, the diva of neorealismo, got angry. She hired a Hollywood veteran and starred as an alley cat in an abrasive melodrama on the island Vulcano. Her character returns from the big city back into a scarce village and is driven crazy by the locals there. In the end two natural powers meet: the volcano and the Magnani.
