A young man sells watches for his living and meets a young woman who is leaving for Paris. In an effort to bridge the miles between them, he runs around setting all the watches and clocks in Taipei to Paris time. Meanwhile, the young woman confronts events that mysteriously seem to be connected with the watch-seller far away.
