MUNDO GRÚA

Argentinean director Pablo Trapero discovers the unspectacular aesthetics of cranes in this film, which is his first feature. MUNDO GRÚA presents the tough social conditions of Argentina in the style of Italian Neorealismo. The aging former rock musician Rulo scratches along with casual jobs on building sites. With the help of his friend Torres he prepares for the crane driver exams. When his dream job doesn’t work out, Rulo is forced to take a post in the South of Argentina.
