Ljubljana. A police inspector investigates an unusual case. A man who was shaved from head to toe jumped from a bridge and drowned in the water. All he had with him was a wrist watch which stopped exactly at 9:08 o’clock. Dusan gets more and more absorbed with the case. He obsessively dives into the life of the suicide man, shaves his head, even moves into his apartment and lives the dead man’s life.

Mare‘s youth is drawing to a close and like his friends he does not know what to do with his life. Medical school is, at its best, an obscure guiding light; girls exchange on the horizon, there is no sense of stability in this young man in mid-twenties, whose infantilism manifests itself in his interest in the rave scene. In this extension of his youth he searches for transitory moments of happiness.
