Ernest Abdyjaparov

Ernest Abdyjaparov plunges us into the atmosphere of a small Kirghiz village that serves as a metaphor for the situation reigning in the country some ten years after the fall of the Soviet Union. There is a serious lack of money, and each individual does his best to make ends meet. On a tragicomic note the story tells how the characters of this microcosm handle the situation between politics and religion, tradition and modernity.
