PIZZA BETHLEHEM

Nine young women who play football for FC Bethlehem are at the center of Bruno Moll’s film. The team mirrors the ethnic composition of Bern’s neighborhood where the girls live. In an affectionate and humorous way the film observes everyday life of the young women at school, in relationships, jobs and their families, and of course women’s football is celebrated. Moll asks the women about their self-conception, their dreams and fears, religion, education and love.

TAKE OFF

The exciting life of Eben Mireku from Ghana. A rags-to-riches story told in a peculiar way focussing on his dream: to reactivate the railway of Ghana. It is a movie about development and about ethical values. What could be the meaning of development and why do human beings always reach for development? In what direction should this development go? Should one be supported in this process? How? An essay about responsibility of enterprises in a difficult environment.
