MUENSEL is the true life story of a blind boy. Growing up in a convent for visually impaired children and teenagers, he soon learns to manage his life on his own. Togetherness and helpfulness are the main values he learns. After attending university he works at a hospital healing people despite his handicap. The movie tries to develop and inculcate a sense of love and respect toward people who are under such conditions. Every one has a reason to be born in this world and a reason to live.

While the soccer World Cup is being played in France, two young Tibetan refugees arrive at a monastery boarding school in the Indian exile. Its atmosphere of serene contemplation is somewhat disrupted by soccer fever, the chief instigator being a young student, the soccer enthusiast Orgyen. Prevented by various circumstances from seeing the Cup finals on television in a nearby village, Orgyen sets out to organise the rental of a TV set for the monastery.
