Bosnia in the postwar period. Six women, an old man and six children live together in a small remote village. In order to get by the women boil down vegetables and fruit and sell it. Their land is supposed to get sold to the Serbians, who are planning to build a holiday resort in the village. This creates a lot of turbulence in the village. In the strong colourful and idyllic pictures the director presents the problems of a people and particularly of the women who survived the war and feel weak and lonesome. Searching for a new meaning in life they discover that they are able to be very strong, together as well as on their own.
