An unusual threat looms over Patagonia. In a place once forgotten by the rest of the world, a huge multinational aluminium producer wants to build a processing factory. The company has ist headquarters on the Cayman Islands, the famous tax haven. This would be the second largest factory in the world – and the first to be built in a nature reserve. Luis Sepúlveda and Diego Meza interviewed the population living in this virgin territory south of the 42 nd parallel about the conflict between globalisation and the dream of a dignified life.
