For decades Burma has been controlled and exploited by a military dictatorship. Government critics have fled, if they are not dead or in prison. The peaceful demonstration for democracy initiated by Buddhist monks in 2007 was beaten down forcibly. Burma is a multiracial state where minorities barely have any rights. The people flee at least if they can. Roland Wehap visited the refugees and let them tell about their memories of Burma. He shows destroyed villages, war and desperate people and combines the pictures with music by Myanmar Future Generation, a rap group which tells of the misery.
